Ron Mahabir is a cofounder and managing director of Asia Cleantech Capital, an investment manager focused on clean energy/technology projects in the Asia Pacific.
From 2004 until 2006, Ron was a Managing Director of Welch Capital Management, a proprietary macro investment manager. While at Welch, Ron led the investment in and successful turnaround of the largest mortgage default communications outsourcing company in the United States.
In 1999, he established the Tokyo office for and spent three years with Colony Capital, a private equity fund manager which has invested over US$28 billion since 1991.
Ron began his investment career and spent three years with MSREF, a real estate fund manager who has invested US$136 billion since 1991.
He is a graduate of the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley.
